Today, I went to Estee Lauder's private sale at Swissotel. My lord! It was wonderful!!!
Met up with GF in the morning. We thought we were early, but other people were earlier. The queue was already snaking. We waited in the queue for about 1 hour before we went in and queue again for another half an hour. WE WERE SO EXCITED!
We even came up with a strategy, chiong to M.A.C cos it is the counter nearest to entrance and M.A.C is the main reason why we were there. So, we chiong inside, grab everything we see and like, proceed to Estee Lauder, Origins and finally, Clinique.
Whether we were getting it we did not care, we just take whatever that caught our eyes and choose later at one tiny corner.
Despite us grabbing everything in sight, we managed to practice self-control, eliminating some very pretty but useless items like the M.A.C glitter eyeliner. We slowly went through some rational thinking and managed to cut down but $200++ to less than $150.
Honestly, both of us were very proud of ourselves. My bill came up to exactly $120 and GF's $4 less. No heart pain no regrets. We just love everything that we bought.
And so, below are my loots!
On the left are all my M.A.C products.
Top left eye shadow in glitterish maroon. Beautiful color it is! $8. A pity it is a palette refil, but hell, it is only $8!
Next to it is my press powder. $20, just nice, my powder is finishing so this is a must get!
Below the eye palette refill, is the GlitterShimmer cream eye highlight. $9. I am anal when it comes to eye highlight, it must be cream form! The one I am currently using is from Missha and it cost 90cents more. Moreover, GlitterShimmer comes in a rather big bottle and there is a pump for you to pump the cream out. Totally no hassle! I am sure it will last me very long.
Next to GlitterShimmer is a lipgloss in sheer nude color. Very pretty! $12! But it's kinda drying on my lips. But anyway, I bought it because I do not have anymore lipgloss.
The white box with silver swirls, is a 8 colour eyeshadow palette. Smoky series I think. $40! BLOODY CHEAP! Reason, I bought it because my black and grey eyeshadow is finishing too! It includes cream colour, shimmery brown, grey, white and etc. I actually wanted to buy another palette because I love the gold color so much but in the end, I did not because it brainless to buy the whole palette just for the gold colour.
On the right side, is my Estee Lauder loots!
On top is my bronzer which my GF bought 1 too. My blusher's finishing soon also! So it is a need. For $20, I do not see a reason why I should not get it since I need it.
Below it is a 2-way lip colour for $12. one side's lipstick in nude pink and the other side is clear gloss. I bought it because I love love love love the colour and it is only $12. And again, I do not see any other reason why I shouldn't get it.
I think the cost I mentioned doesn't add up to $120 but never mind, around there.
In the background is the lovely Naraya handbag GF bought from Thailand for me! Love it!
There were many other good stuffs available at the sales I heard, but it was all snatched by people with yellow ticket and they are usually staffs of the company. GF's friend bought $401 worth of don't know what man. LOL!
I love private sales and thanks GF for allowing me to accompany you to such sales!
Oh yes, I went to have a flu jab in the morning and now I am down with a slight fever. Ending of this post with my picture! A recent me! Heh!
