So, on Day 2 we went to Yang Ming Shan to pluck Calla Lilies and view the Hot Sulphur Spring. Calla lilies are such pretty flowers. I heard that Calla lilies are quite expensive in Singapore. We then proceeded to the Hot Sulphur Spring. It is another amazing sight because we are actually in the volcanic area. Hence, there is actually constant releasing of sulphur steam into the air. The pools of water are boiling too. Pretty awesome. Plus the chilly weather and breath-taking scenaries. I felt that the travelling all the way up is quite worth it. We saw sakura's too! But we did not take any picture because any picture taken, we will have to pay.

After Yang Ming Shan, we proceeded to Miranmar Shopping Centre to take their ferris wheel. Not exciting at all. The view is not nice. The ride is boring.

After the ferris whell ride. we went back to Taipei City Hall station to go to Shi Lin Night Market! YEA! The long anticipated visit to the ever so famous night market.

Damn!I tell you, the food are really good! No joke! The chicken is bigger than my face, the smelly tofu is more smelly and dog poo. There are actually somemore pictures of other food that we ate such as the Big Sausage wrap small sausage and etc. Really good.

Well, after the night market, we proceeded back to hotel to have our well-deserved rest! Day 3,4,5 soon!

On the day 2 of my Taiwan trip, we woke up bright and early to go to "Bei Tou". We made a fool out of ourselves in the train. Jumping up and down like monkey. Quite retarded. Finally we reached our destination! We found a "pao tang" place. If I remember correctly, it should be around TWD$200.00 for 1 hour. I find this activity quite boring because it is just soaking in water. Hmm..

After we left the "pao tang" place, I felt a little refreshed although sitting in there is boring. With the cool air blowing into us, it simply felt different. We went to look for the "Wen Quan Bo Wu Guan" aka The Hot Spring museum and the Aboriginal Museum. We took the long walk and saw an real au natural hot spring!

If you look closely, there is steam rising from the river. Then, we made our way to the museums. The Hot Spring Museum is pretty interesting. But the Aboriginal Museum is boring.A very old school letter box found outside the Hot Spring Museum!

Old school cinema ticketing counter inside the museum.

Below are taken outside the Aboriginal Museum.

After having fun at "Bei Tou" we proceeded to Yang Ming Shan! I will upload the pictures for this tomorrow because there is a lot more pictures for the mountain trip and the ferris wheel right. It's late now. Time for me to have a game of Spot the Difference on Facebook before I turn in!

Hope you guys enjoyed Day 2 Part 1!

Hello! I am back from my Taiwan trip! I would say that this trip is sure an eye-opener for me as I have not been to anywhere further than Thailand. I love the culture in Taiwan! The weather, the people, the food and the scenaries!

I will break down my trip into about 4 separate posts, bear with my yea?

Day 1

Woke up bright and early for my my flight. Flight is at 8.30. We reached the airport extremely early too!Us, while waiting for sky train to go to Terminal 3. Eek! Look at bf's tummy. *hiak hiak* Then, we boarded the plane. China airline wasn't that bad. Just that it's a little squeezy.Hiak hiak! I watched Marley and Me while on the plane. Awesome show. Did not fail to make me tear. But still, book is better. Wee.. On our way to Taipei! There were some frost on the glass while the plane was cruising. I find it extremely pretty!
Finally, after 4 hours of stoning, we reached! So happy! The moment we stepped out of the airport, brrrrr, it's like air-conditioned in the whole country. Super shiok! Love the weather. We proceeded to our hotel, Paradise Hotel, a 15 min walk from Xi Men Ding.Bf and Gary in the van who fetched us from the airport to the hotel. The hotel exterior. It does looks a little run-down but I feel that it is ok because the interior is fine.Hotel Lobby.Room interior. The room is very cosy albeit a little small. The bathroom is pretty basic too. Nothing much. But I feel that as long as they have space for us to put our stuff, a dressing table, a nice blanket, it is good enough. I would recommend this hotel to other people who is on budget tour. Though they do not prvoide those kettle for ya to boil water, you just have to walk to on end to get it from the dispenser. Put down our stuff in the hotel, rest and we proceeded to Taipei main station to walk walk look look see see.

It was drizzling when we walked out of our hotel. It is extremely extremely cold!We walked to the train station!Taiwan people are really civilized. They always keep to their right, they allow people to get down from the train before boarding the train, their priority seat is always for the needy, they are extremely quiet in the train. Wah! Singapore totally cannot make it lor. LOL!So we reached Taipei main station and it is still drizzling! We had Lu wei! Taste like kway chap! I like! After that we went to walked around in the rain. The wind is seriously freezing. Even the shopping malls feels warmer then the outside. We then went to another restaurant to have dinner. They have a mountain pig pacing in an enclosed area outside the shop. The restaurant is called "Tun Wu" literally Dolphine House. They sell japanese food and it is damn nice. No pictures of the food though. Hehe!

We then proceeded to Taipei 101 to see see look look. The building's mascot. The mascot sayang-ing my bf. HAHA! After Taipei 101, we proceeded to a nearby night market. This is Tong Hua Night Market. The very first night market we went to. Bought a few tees and tried a few local delicacies. As we had a long day, right after the night market, we proceeded back to our hotel to rest! Thats all for day 1! Day 2 for another day yea? Hehe
