And so, 2009 has ended and 2010 has started.
On Xmas eve, I met up with my dear Weili, XY, Angel and Jasper for dinner at a german beer outlet called Brozeit. Omg! They have fantastic pork knuckle and cheese pasta. It's a pity that we didn't had their beer because it is Paulaner beer. Love it! Reason being that I got my tongue piercing before I went to Vivo to meet my dear friends to celebrate as per previous years. It serves as a birthday present to myself for turning 21 years old and to commenmorate year 2009, just like how I got my belly piercing to commenmorate year 2004.
I know I know, you guys must be thinking, "wah lau eh! tongue piercing so ah lian! pierce already sure play with it all day long very annoying one lor! act cool only." Well, it wasn't for the sake of being cool or what, just that it has always been my wish to pierce my tongue and it's only then, I found the guts to do it k. I damn hum ji actually. HAHA! Nope, I do not play with my tongue stud. In fact it has healed nicely now, I can eat and talk as per normal. Nope, my pronounciation is still fine too.
So, Xmas ended on a fine note and then, it's celebrating the coming of 2010. Perhaps, I should reflect on 2009 first.
The first half of year 2009 has been pretty peaceful. Went to Taiwan for a holiday and signed up for my part-time degree course. Just that the second half of the year is alittle more 'exciting'.
In July, I started to go onsite for F1. I was extremely unhappy about it. For the next 3 months, I was still stuck onsite doing accreditation, attendance and all other boring routine stuff. Working with a stupid potatoe makes my life worst there. On the other hand, this time round, I became closer with all my contractors and it has been wonderful to work with them. Furthermore, I became closer with my 2 funny colleagues which made life onsite much more bearable.
In September, I started my part-time degree officially at SMA Murdoch University. Juggling between work and school is no easy feat but I was and still am determine to overcome this obstacle. F1 finally ended and it felt good to be back to office. Life went on as it is.
In October, I ended my longest-running relationship. It was a tough decision to make but ultimately I did. I've moved on and stopped being dependent. I believe you did move on too. At the end of October, went on a 3D2N KL trip with Xiaoling and had a great hella time.
In November, did Sitex 09, 2 halls of Singapore Expo ended on a good note.
So now, here we have, the end of year 2009. I wouldn't say that year 2009 has been a bad or good year. Because I've believed that for every decision that has been made, for every matter that has happened, we learn, we give & take, we forgive and forget. Most importantly, remember all the happy memories, cherish the past. It may be the past, but memories are always worth keeping. I will not forget how I was loved by all the people around me in 2009. I may have whined, complained, flew into rage, cried and etc at the point when things happen, but looking back, it was simply moments of emotions.
Nonetheless, I wanna thank everybody around me for giving me the love, care and concern that I needed. I know at times, I can be a very difficult person to handle but you guys were always there.
New year resolutions will be done soon. If I can find the 'feel' to blog, just like how I have the 'feel' right now although it is very late now.
Happy Holidays everyone!

Hello people! It's been quite a while since I updated this space. In any case, just a quick update.
Bridging courses has been pretty fun although I was pretty lost for accounting. Thing is, I've done most of the stuff in secondary school however, it's been 5 years. 5 YEARS! Who on earth will remember. But in any case, lesson has been very...interesting and fulfilling despite the short hours before exam on Wednesday. *Gasps*
I was talking to my lecturer during my break this afternoon. I find that he is funky, interesting but quite lame sometimes. He called out to me and asked whether I am working and I replied him a big yes. Subsequently, we got into a discussion of working and studying the same time.
I made myself very clear during the conversation that it is my choice to work full-time and study part-time. Reason being, as said before, I want to gain the experience and obtain my degree at the same time. I do not want to waste anytime. Therefore, time management and sacrifices are something that I will need to handle and make decisions on.
He said, "But according to previous experiences, I used to study and work too. I find it so tiring and at some point of time, I lost track of what I am doing. I have no social life!"
He then asked me, " Don't you need to spend time with your family friends and boyfriend?"
Agree. Time, inevitably is spent more on work and study. No time to meet friends no time to accompany my mum. How? Die lor. Kidding.
I guess, that will be the part of my commitment towards my work and studies. I am extremely glad that everyone around me has been so forgiving and supportive towards me. It is something that I really really appreciates.
Then, I told my lecturer, "Although I said, I've gone through this during my poly days, it felt so different."
"Yea. I agree. When I was much younger I have so much more energy."
True. I can't say this time round, while working and studying is the same when I was studying and working. It's so different. In the past, after school, I rush of to work, after work, I can rush from work to go clubbing with my friends. It's amazing. Now, work and studying is so energy-taxing. Every time, after lesson, I feel so lethargic. So so different. Can't help but lament that time isn't sparing anyone.
Apart from the above mentioned difference, there are also other adjustment that has to be done. One very important point is that I have to change my style of studying because this time round, I know I will not have time to re-write notes to the way I want. And I know I have to adapt to that.
Well, all in all, so similar yet so different. Wish me luck for my accounting exam on Wednesday!

Heh. In case you people miss me. =P

It's been a long time since I updated this stagnant blog of mine.
I had just ended a show Sitex 08. Bought myself my dream netbook! Yes, I bought myself a MSI Wind U100! Hence, I named my notebook "Gone with the Wind!". I bought a new keyboard for my brother which went unappreciated. I was chided for buying a keyboard. Totally wtf. I bought myself a SD card as well as a 4gig thumbdrive. How happy!
Other than that, I've been working and nua-ing at home. Nothing much. had some fun at work and with friends. Otherwise it is arguing with my mum and hearing her nag at me over the same things over and over again. Extremely annoying.
I have yet to get best friend's christmas present. I have totally no idea what to buy for her because she seems to have all necessities. I have yet to get my office christmas buddy a gift too. I need to attend a wedding dinner this Saturday. I've got insurance and all bills to pay. I still owe my brother the insurance down payment. I still have other debts to return.
I am very irritated by my mum now because she's keep saying the same thing for the past 10 minutes and she doesn't even know what is going on. She is simply making assumptions and insist that she is right about her assumptions. Then she said that I am stubborn and always think like as if I am always right. A very good example of the pot calling the kettle black.
My mum always appear very nice, funny, approachable, caring in front of my friends and colleagues. Then friends and colleagues always say: "Your mum very nice what! She seems very caring towards you ma. Don't talk to her like arguing la."
*Roll eyes* x 100
Please. It takes 2 hands to clap. If she hasn't done something towards me, I wouldn't be doing some other things like talking to her in a pek cek tone, raising my voice and etc.
I hate it when people always try to indicate that it is my fault to talk to her in the way I talk to her and it makes me sound very unfilial. Hellloooo.. if I am unfilial I wouldn't have bothered to buy a a bag that she said she would love to have it and it cost quite a lot at that time because I was still a student working part-time and have a few of monetary commitments. She did not use it in the end. I wouldn't have volunteered to buy her things that she wants. I wouldn't have paid all the Starhub bills and I will not even be bothered to give her S$300.00 every month.
So please people, stop judging me from the outside.
I do not need you guys to tell me how to treat my mum just because I talked to her in a slightly louder/pek cek tone.
There are alot of things you people out there doesn't know about my family. So stop making comments that makes me sound immature like some spoilt brat who doesn't know how to think.
Two words.
Fuck off. I am extremely pissed now.
P/s: My netbook's keypad is so nice to type on!!!
P/p/s: My flu has not recovered and it is killing me.

I feel bad. I really do.
The whole issue when blown up because of me.
Because of me allowing "pissed-off-ness" ride over my rational mind, I said somethings I shouldn't have. Thus, leading to lotsa misunderstandings and misinterpretations.
I shouldn't have, I really shouldn't have.
因为多嘴,一时口快。都是我的错。对不起。
It almost cost me a few friendships.
I hereby sincerely apologise to all my friends involved and I ask for all of your forgiveness.

The boy came over to my house for dinner in the evening. Mum had a talk with him. It wasn't those fierce talk that you would have thought of. But just talk that will allow boy to know more about us.
I wasn't there but boy told me everything. The emotions in me were anger with a tint of hatred and happiness/relief. I do not know exactly what I was exactly feeling, tears just kept rolling. Tears of anger? Tears of relief? Tears of gratefulness? I would say it is a mix.
Boy was great. He brought me to the playground to cheer me up. He did his best to stay neutral during the talk and defend me for some stuff. He was wonderful.
Mum, I know its hard on you. Its hard on me too because I am now going through a major transition in my life. I hope you can understand. The reason why I took up my full-time job was kinda like a long term investment. Trust me mum, I will get a degree. Its just that time isn't right.
My boss was right. He said, " Working full-time and studying part-time is better. Maybe difficult but you get the best of both world. Companies do not look at only degree now. Compare:
- 4 years of working experience + degree
- 4 years working experence
- A degree cert
Who do you think will get the job?"
It makes perfect sense. And thats what I am gonna do - work and study. Anyway, I've been through it. Why I can't challenge myself again?
Guess it's time to sit down with my mum and have a talk.
